This work chose me long before I officially began working as a doula. Caring for many family members and loved ones along the way and experiencing pregnancy, birth, loss, grief and perinatal mood disorder with limited to no support at a very young age has been a testimony in and of itself. The real story though is how I took these experiences and informed, advocated and supported so many. Where I was once quiet and reluctant, I am now an outspoken and resourceful businesswoman who loves & supports her community. We never truly know what God has in store for us or what we will find purpose in until it happens.
